The Cincinnati Bengals started the season with a 1-3 record, which seemed like a death sentence, especially for their playoff hopes.
Joe Burrow appeared sluggish to begin the year, a sign that he was still facing some effects from his injuries.
Despite their slow start, the Bengals have now won three straight, largely due to the now-dominant play of Burrow.
As Ari Meirov has recently pointed out, Burrow’s Week 8 performance against the San Francisco 49ers showed that he is back, ready to compete as he has in years prior.
Joe Burrow today vs. the 49ers:
• 28/32 (87.5%)
• 283 passing yards
• 3 TDs
• 0 INTs
• 134.8 passer ratingThe Burrow we all know. He’s so back. pic.twitter.com/SuF03qGoT3

Burrow finished this game with three touchdown passes, a passer rating of 134.8, and a completion percentage of 87.5%.
He sliced and diced one of the best defenses in the NFL en route to this victory.
If Burrow has any lingering health effects from his offseason injuries, he is doing a good job of hiding it.
With Burrow’s solid play in mind, the Bengals move on, hoping to continue this momentum for the rest of the season.
The Bengals’ next three opponents are the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens.
All three of these teams could provide a tough test for the Bengals, especially the Bills and Ravens.
If the Bengals can get through this difficult patch unscathed, they could not only get closer to contending for a playoff berth but also gain ground on the Ravens for the division lead.
Can Burrow keep it up?
He has played like an MVP over the past few weeks, a trend that will have to continue for the Bengals’ success.
