The Carolina Panthers made several moves throughout the NFL offseason in hopes of bettering their roster.
They made a massive trade for the No. 1 overall pick, eventually drafting Bryce Young as the future of their franchise.
One of the Panthers’ more unassuming moves, at least at the time, was signing Adam Thielen, adding a veteran receiver to their room.
While Thielen seemed to be at the end of his career in Minnesota, he has resurrected his career in Carolina.
NFL researcher Tony Holzman-Escareno recently highlighted Thielen’s play so far this season, which has yielded great results.
Adam Thielen leads the NFL in receptions (34), receiving yards (351), and receiving TD (4) from the slot this season, per @NextGenStats.#KeepPounding @Panthers @NFLResearch

As Holzman-Escareno highlights, Thielen has performed as the NFL’s best slot receiver this year.
His 34 receptions, 351 receiving yards, and four touchdowns all lead the league.
While some expected Thielen to take another step back this season, he has done the exact opposite.
His veteran presence has been a welcomed addition for rookie QB Young, and the two of them have established a great rapport.
Despite the growing connection between Thielen and Young, the Panthers have not tallied a win this year.
That could change in Week 8, as the Panthers take on the Houston Texans.
Both teams are led by rookie quarterbacks, as C.J. Stroud has taken the reins for the Texans.
Stroud has taken the Texans to a 3-3 record, a significantly better mark than Young and the Panthers thus far.
Young is getting better by the week, and if Thielen has another big game, they could finally get into the win column this week.
