Brock Purdy entered the 2023 NFL Season with many questions surrounding him.
Many wondered if he would be the same after his shoulder surgery and if he could continue to lead the San Francisco 49ers confidently.
While there have been a few games in which he has struggled to keep the offense going, Purdy has continued to shine for the most part.
A recent graphic from the NFL on CBS highlighted several key statistical areas in which Purdy is No. 1 in the league.

Purdy has the league’s best passer rating, completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdowns per attempt, and yards per completion.
Not bad for 2022’s Mr. Irrelevant.
While there might have been doubters about his abilities in the offseason, Purdy’s performances have started changing public perception of him.
There is a growing belief that he can lead the 49ers back to an NFC Championship appearance, especially if he and his teammates are fully healthy.
This week, the 49ers’ potential was displayed in their win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
They have beaten the Eagles and Dallas Cowboys to this point in the year, proving they can handle whatever is thrown their way.
Purdy might be the answer at quarterback that this team has been looking for.
They continue to have one of the NFL’s best defenses, and their playmakers have shined despite adversity and injuries.
If things continue to go their way, the 49ers could find themselves with the No. 1 seed in the NFC come playoff time, a massive advantage for the postseason.
