The Pittsburgh Steelers have made yet another move in the wide receiver room this offseason.
After they added a couple of pieces before and after the NFL Draft, their most recent move involves the waiving of a veteran.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the team is waiving wide receiver Denzel Mims, who had been with the team on the practice squad since last October.

Mims hasn’t quite been able to catch on with an NFL team yet.
The 26-year-old was drafted in the second round by the New York Jets back in 2020.
He spent three years with the team before being traded to the Detroit Lions in 2023 where he was eventually waived.
Then, the Steelers signed him to their practice squad last October.
In his four-year career, the former Baylor Bear has just 42 receptions for 672 yards receiving.
His best season came as a rookie in 2020 when he caught 23 passes for 357 yards.
He has no touchdowns in his career.
Looking ahead for Pittsburgh, there is some clarity in the wide receiver room.
It is led by talented 1,000-yard wide receiver George Pickens, rookie receiver Roman Wilson out of Michigan, former Super Bowl-winning receiver Van Jefferson, and speedsters Quez Watkins, Scotty Miller, and Calvin Austin III are also there.
The wide receiver core isn’t necessarily a great one, but could the team be making room for another wide receiver?
Could a trade for San Francisco 49ers All-Pro Brandon Aiyuk be in the works?
If it is, Pittsburgh would be the perfect place for Aiyuk.
Quarterback Russell Wilson could get another weapon in the fold.
