The Chicago Bears got their third win of the season on Thursday night.
Playing at home against the worst team in football, the Carolina Panthers, the Bears won, 16-13.
It was far from an impressive performance but that was to be expected.
Bears starting quarterback Justin Fields missed his fourth straight game with a thumb injury and their offense has suffered.
Fields is expected to return for the Bears’ next game in Week 11.
However, Stephen A. Smith believes Fields should not play another game for the Bears.
On “First Take,” he said: “If I’m Justin Fields, I don’t think about playing again…I’m hoping that they trade me to a more respectable franchise.”
“If I’m Justin Fields, I don’t think about playing again [in Chicago]. I want to get the hell up out of there. I’m hoping that they trade me to a more respectable franchise.”

While the Bears franchise has been a mess for many years, Fields is in no position to demand a trade.
He has played poorly for most of his career, even if the organization is partially to blame.
Fields has to show he can stay healthy and help the Bears win games before he can start making any types of demands.
Even though Fields is still young, it is hard to be impressed by a guy who has a career record of 6-25.
Also, Fields has yet to show he can be a consistently good passer at the NFL level.
The only way we could see the Bears trade Fields is if they land the first overall pick, as trading Fields and selecting a different quarterback is well within the realm of possibility.
As for the rest of this season, the Bears are not going anywhere, and all their fans should be hoping for is to land the best draft picks possible.
