The Dallas Cowboys front office has always said they are looking to improve their roster 365 days a year.
Well, an opportunity arose for them to strengthen their wide receiver room and they took it.
The Cowboys recently agreed to a practice squad contract with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant.
Bryant has not played in the NFL since 2018.

Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones talked about why the team signed Bryant.

It remains to be seen how long Bryant will remain on the practice squad.
But, there is a chance Dallas will bring him to the active roster this season.
Dallas has been looking for some consistency from their third wide receiver spot all season.
Michael Gallup has struggled and second-year player Jalen Tolbert is still developing.
When Bryant was at his best he was making plays downfield.
That could be something the Cowboys hope to use over the second half of the season.
Expecting a lot from Bryant would be foolish, but maybe he can surprise some people this year.
