There are many great players in the NFL, especially at wide receiver.
The athletes in the NFL are as strong as they have ever been.
One former wide receiver who always had a strong personality was Steve Smith Sr.
He is a Hall-of-Fame caliber receiver and now hosts a podcast that talks about current wide receivers.
One player Smith has been critical of is Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Smith called out Jeudy a few weeks ago about the way he has played.
He called Jeudy “just a guy” and said he was not a difference-maker.
Smith went on “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss some of the things he said about Jeudy.
As share by Pat McAfee on Twitter, Smith said, “I apologize for what I said and I appreciate and love the current players.”
“I love breaking down WRs & what I said about Jerry Jeudy wasn’t the best way to say it..
When I approached him I wanted to apologize because the words didn’t sit right with him..

It is not the first time we have seen a former player criticize a current one.
But, at least Smith knows he was wrong and wanted to apologize for it.
Jeudy was a first-round pick back in 2020 but has yet to have a 1,000-yard receiving season.
The quarterback play during his career has not helped, but Jeudy could do more.
In six games this season, Jeudy has caught 25 passes for 286 yards.
He has also been the subject of many trade rumors this year.
It will be interesting to see what happens with Jeudy over the next week.
The trade deadline is October 31 and the Broncos will have many decisions to make by then.
