After a slow start to the 2023 NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are finally in a groove as they’ve compiled a 5-3 record and are in the thick of the playoff race.
The Steelers offense has shown signs of life in recent weeks as Kenny Pickett’s been making decisions with the football.
Diontae Johnson’s return to the field has been a major boost, while the running back tandem of Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren have been playing much better.
However, the backbone of the team remains the defensive line as the group is one of the most disruptive in the league.
Leading the way is T.J. Watt who has been playing at a Defensive Player of the Year level the entire year.
In the team’s most recent game against the Green Bay Packers, Watt hit a milestone when he surpassed his brother J.J. on the list for most sacks through a player’s first 100 games via the team’s official Twitter account.

The Watt brothers are one of the best sibling tandems on the defensive end ever, and T.J. passing up his older brother must be a special moment for him and his family.
T.J. looks as good as he ever has during the season and he is a large reason why Pittsburgh has been able to win as many games as they have despite some mediocre offensive showings.
Under head coach Mike Tomlin, the Steelers always find ways to stay competitive and he’s likely happy to have T.J. on his side.
Pittsburgh could very well be a sleeper team come the playoffs if the team can build off this momentum.
