The Houston Texans just got significantly better.
They capped off a very productive offseason in which they acquired plenty of talent by trading for star WR Stefon Diggs.
Diggs and the Buffalo Bills had reached a breaking point in their relationship, and it was better for both parties to find a new home.
With that in mind, Texans safety Jimmie Ward claimed that he’s only going to keep raising the bar higher, and he expects them to be a much better team in the foreseeable future (via Aaron Wilson).
“He’s going to make our team better,” Ward said.

That’s definitely the expectation.
The Texans realized they had something special on their hands, and they wanted to make the most of the fact that their two franchise cornerstones, CJ Stroud and Will Anderson Jr., would be on bargain rookie deals for years.
Their Super Bowl window can close in the blink of an eye, and they clearly believe they have enough to compete at the highest level now, which is why they went all-in in just their second year in the league.
This is going to be a crucial season for Diggs as well.
His reputation in the league has taken a bit of a hit, especially after watching the Bills fare better offensively when his production took a dip.
Now, the Texans have restructured his deal to make him a free agent at the end of the season, so he should have plenty of motivation to be at his best and prove his worth to get a new deal.
