The biggest surprise team of the 2023 NFL season was, without a doubt, the Houston Texans, who brought in rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud with the No. 2 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and immediately had success with him under center and new head coach DeMeco Ryans calling the shots on the sideline.
With Stroud leading the team to an AFC South division title and a playoff win over the Cleveland Browns, the Texans are now on the map in the NFL as a team that could be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come.
Houston will head into this NFL offseason with high hopes of being able to surround Stroud with as much talent as possible while also making strides to improve defensively.
In the meantime, the team will hope to get some of their key players as healthy as possible moving forward, with star left tackle Laremy Tunsil recently undergoing surgery on his knee, which appears to be minor, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
#Texans star LT Laremy Tunsil recently underwent knee surgery following the season, source said, a cleanup of an issue that arose this season when Tunsil spent some time on the injury report. He’ll make a swift recovery.

Obviously, Tunsil is a major piece to the puzzle for the Texans as the star up front that protects Stroud, so it is a good sign that this procedure is a minor one rather than a major one.
With the Texans armed with a considerable amount of cap space this offseason, Houston could make a splash or two in NFL free agency in hopes of taking one step closer to becoming a title contender in the AFC while capitalizing on the progress made by their new franchise quarterback.
