The Kansas City Chiefs entered the season with high hopes and expectations, being the reigning Super Bowl champions and still the team to beat in the AFC.
Fast forward to today, and while they still have one of the best records in the game, that’s just no longer the case anymore.
Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid will always give their team a chance to win, but their offense has been dead in the water over the past month or so.
As pointed out by NFL on CBS, they’ve failed to score a single point in the second half in the past four weeks, going 2-2 in that span.

The sole fact that they’ve still managed to win a couple of games despite scoring zero points in the second half speaks volumes of this team’s potential to be dominant.
Their defense has been spectacular, bailing them out for the first time since Mahomes took the reins of the offense.
Even so, that might not be enough to get the job done, especially in the playoffs when other teams usually take their games up a notch and make some major adjustments.
If someone can figure things out and get out of this slump, it is Mahomes, but going from Eric Bieniemy to Matt Nagy was obviously one of the most significant downgrades in recent NFL history, and it’ll take some major tweaks to make the most of that roster and the little talent they have in the passing game right now.
