The Tennesee Titans went toe-to-toe with the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road, with rookie QB Will Levis proving that he can be the future of the franchise.
They didn’t allow an early deficit to get them out of the game, and they even held a small lead late in the fourth quarter.
Kenny Pickett hit Diontae Johnson for his first touchdown catch since 2021, and with four minutes left in the game, Levis and the Titans failed to get back on top despite having two possessions.
The second possession was the toughest one, as Steelers LB Kwon Alexander grabbed the first interception in Levis’ promising career.
Following the game, Titans HC Mike Vrabel talked about how the Titans should’ve never put themselves in that position to begin with, via ProFootballTalk.
“You don’t lose it late. There’s always other things that go into it,” Vrabel said. “Opportunities missed or their ability to make a play when they needed to. It’s good to see us continue to fight. We got a stop, got an opportunity to get the ball down there. We tried to get it in the end zone. They made a play.”

Levis finished the game with 22 completions on 39 passes, 262 yards, and no touchdowns, but he did have some flashes throughout the course of the game.
The Steelers defense played physical and tried to set the tone and send a message early in the game, but he responded over and over, extending plays, finding the open man, and moving the chains on second-and-long and third-down situations.
Of course, this was far from the four-touchdown outing he had in his debut, and there will be ups and downs like it usually happens with young quarterbacks.
But the offense has looked much better under Levis than under Ryan Tannehill, and at this point, the Titans shouldn’t even consider going back to their veteran signal-caller; they’ve already found his replacement.
