At 3-6, the Tennessee Titans are on the verge of missing the postseason under head coach Mike Vrabel, a disappointing result given they’ve been one of the more competitive teams in the league over the years.
Veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill looked like a shell of himself early on in the regular season, but the team may have found something with rookie Will Levis who has looked ahead of schedule as far as his development goes.
Tennessee’s offense looks more like the unit fans are used to seeing with Levis under center so the team is doing the right thing by giving him all the reps he can handle.
Defensively, the team has taken a step back as the secondary has been prone to giving up big days to opposing quarterbacks and receivers.
Up front, they’re stout, as they’ve been stingy to running backs, but teams know to attack them through the air.
With the Titans squaring off against their AFC South division rivals the Jacksonville Jaguars they’ve made several roster moves via Jim Wyatt of Titans.com
#Titans DB Mike Brown has been activated from Injured Reserve, and the team has also promoted DL T.K. McLendon to the team’s 53-man roster.
The @Titans have waived DB Matthew Jackson and RB Jonathan Ward.

Mike Brown should slot in as a depth piece in the secondary, while T.K. McLendon could see some rotational snaps throughout the afternoon.
In order to make room for Brown and McLendon, the team waived defensive back Matthew Jackson and running back Jonathan Ward.
Lastly, Tennessee is also elevating linebacker Joe Jones and offensive lineman Andrew Rupcich from the practice squad though they will go right back following gameday.
These seem like routine roster moves, but the Titans will need all the help they can get if they want to pull off the upset.
