For years, Tom Brady was considered to be either the best or one of the best players in the entire National Football League.
Even so, for most of his career, he wasn’t the highest earner.
Brady constantly agreed to take pay cuts to make sure the New England Patriots had enough cap space to sign more stars, and that approach definitely worked out for him.
Notably, that’s the opposite way most athletes handle themselves today, and No. 12 doesn’t like it one bit.
Talking on his latest appearance on the Deep Cuts podcast, Brady called out young players for being so self-centered and only caring about themselves (via Los Talks Pats).
Tom Brady believes the biggest problem with young athletes nowadays is their self-centered attitude.
“And I think the biggest problem with a lot of f***ing kids these days is it’s all about them. It’s all about them. Their brand, their social media… when it’s about me and not… pic.twitter.com/jPjOBnJapF

Brady stated that there’s simply no way to have success as a team when the players have a ‘me first’ mentality and are only focused on their brand and their social media.
That’s pretty much the reality of today’s sports industry.
The players don’t seem to have a competitive fire anymore; they just want to get the most exposure.
Of course, everyone should maximize their opportunities to make money, especially in this line of business when a career can change in a matter of seconds.
But this is also why you rarely see teams or players stay at the top for as long as guys like Brady did.
Tom Brady constantly put his team first and that helped him win seven Super Bowls, and a lot of cash came because of how successful he was, so it’s not like he missed on any big chances to make a living.
