It appears that Tom Brady’s competitive spirit is still very much alive, with the retired seven-time Super Bowl champion ready to risk one of his rings in a bet with up-and-coming NFL rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans.
With Stroud clearly one of the quarterbacks to watch for the foreseeable future in the NFL, Brady has taken notice and wants all that youth and agility moving forward because he knows this kid has a bright future ahead as the leader of the Texans, via SportsCenter.

Obviously, this is a playful bet between Brady and Stroud, but the rivalry at play here is no joke, as many will be tuning in to see what happens between with two college football heavyweights.
Even though Brady is arguably the greatest quarterback and player in NFL history, he didn’t make that much of an impression during his time at Michigan as Stroud did with the Buckeyes, which is perhaps the only thing that tilts in the young quarterback’s favor.
Unlike Brady, who was lucky enough to get an opportunity to show what he could do with the New England Patriots as Drew Bledsoe’s backup over two decades ago, Stroud has hit the ground running while leading the Texans to a 5-4 start to the season, with some historic performances thus far.
Stroud has not only exceeded expectations as a first-year starter in Houston but also has the Texans in the playoff hunt while turning a lot of heads around the league, as he’s now making a case for NFL MVP as a rookie.
