Bill Belichick and Tom Brady formed arguably the greatest head coach-quarterback duo in NFL history.
The pair appeared in nine Super Bowls and won six of them during their time together with the New England Patriots, and now neither of them are with the team after Brady retired following the 2022 season and Belichick was let go this past week.
That bond remains, though, and Brady had a simple reaction to the news that his former head coach wouldn’t be coaching his old team anymore:

It’s hard not to look at the success of either person without thinking of the other.
Belichick built an incredible roster early in his tenure with the Patriots and Brady took that team all the way to the Super Bowl multiple times.
The two parted ways in 2020, though, when Brady left in free agency for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady added to his own legacy in Tampa Bay with another Super Bowl ring in his three seasons with the Buccaneers, while Belichick and the Patriots only made the playoffs once during that span and didn’t win the postseason.
These two will forever be a part of Patriots history, though, as the architects of one of the greatest sports dynasties of all-time.
Brady is no longer in the NFL, but Belichick could return as the head coach for another team in 2024 and beyond.
The Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders are among Belichick’s top suitors, but he’ll always be a Patriot at heart.
And time will tell where he ends up this season and beyond.
