Over the first five weeks of the 2023 NFL season, the New England Patriots have received a lot of criticism for their play, with a lot of the blame being directed at head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Mac Jones.
Things have gotten so bad for the Patriots that people are starting to question Belichick’s legacy and whether it was superstar quarterback Tom Brady who deserves the bulk of the credit for what the franchise accomplished.
This has always been a debate since the dynamic duo started having a lot of success over the past two decades, and things got louder when Brady went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and immediately won another Super Bowl title, but now Belichick is looking like nothing more than a mediocre coach who might be coaching for his job for the rest of the 2023 campaign.
On Tuesday, Brady was asked about Belichick’s struggles this season and what he thinks about what’s happening in New England right now via SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Interestingly enough, Brady might not have realized that he may have pointed out Belichick’s biggest problem: the inability to adapt or adjust to a changing game.
Brady said that he thinks Belichick is likely still having the same work ethic while also keeping the same coaching style, but things aren’t working anymore for the Patriots, so something has to give.
Only time will tell how much longer Belichick can coach this team, as tensions must be mounting for longtime owner Robert Kraft and the team’s brass during such a frustrating season.
