Last season, the Miami Dolphins had arguably the best offense in the NFL, and a big reason for that was the speed they possessed.
With wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as well as running backs De’Von Achane and Raheem Mostert, Miami finished first in passing yards and total yards and tied for first in rushing touchdowns.
But this season, another team could supplant them as the fastest in the league.
NFL journalist Tom Pelissero said on “The Rich Eisen Show” that the Kansas City Chiefs are now the quickest team around because they have multiple speedy wide receivers.
“[The Chiefs] have to have the fastest team in the NFL,” Pelissero said. “And I understand that Miami is a really, really fast team.”

Pelissero’s argument is that Kansas City simply has more speed demons than Miami does.
Last season, the Chiefs won their second straight Super Bowl championship and third in five seasons with a young, unproven group of wideouts, with the best being rookie Rashee Rice.
Last season, he put up 79 receptions, 938 yards and seven touchdowns, and though he’s facing legal charges due to a car crash he was involved in, he could be better this year if he takes the field.
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown was brought in this offseason to provide some more depth and production in the Chiefs’ wide receiver room, and as Pelissero pointed out, returning players Skyy Moore and Mecole Hardman also are speedy.
But the crown jewel for Kansas City in terms of downfield speed is rookie Xavier Worthy, who set an NFL Scouting Combine record by running the 40-yard dash in 4.21 seconds.
Pelissero noted how Kansas City won mostly with defense last year, but now their offense could be significantly improved as they go for an unprecedented third straight Super Bowl title.
