Coming into the matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, the New York Giants seemed to start figuring things out, as Tommy DeVito and company had won three straight games.
Unfortunately, the Giants were brought back down to earth on Sunday afternoon, with Derek Carr’s squad getting the best of New York at Caesars Superdome in convincing fashion, as DeVito could only lead the team to six points against the Saints.
DeVito was running for his life in this game in Week 15, with the Saints sacking the rookie quarterback seven times while constantly putting pressure on him when the ball was snapped.
The increasingly popular rookie finished the game with only 177 passing yards without a touchdown, but he didn’t have any turnovers in an otherwise forgettable performance on the road.
After the game, DeVito was asked about his performance and was humble in defeat, even though he called his day “average” because he needed to be the spark for the offense via Giants Videos.

With the rookie quarterback under siege all day against a pretty good Saints defense, it’s not all that surprising that this would be the outcome for the Giants.
In fact, DeVito is fortunate that he didn’t come out of this game with an injury, considering the fact he was sacked seven times and under constant pressure while in the pocket.
The Giants now have three regular-season games left, with two of those matchups being against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles and the other against the Los Angeles Rams.
