The NFL Draft is just around the corner, and those who’ve been around for a while know what that means.
We’ve officially reached that time of the year when negative reports about elite prospects start leaking, perhaps in an attempt to make them slip so other teams can get them.
That might be the case with LSU star WR Malik Nabers.
According to a report by NFL insider Tony Pauline, some people believe Nabers is ‘high-maintenance,’ and there are some off-field issues and questions about his character (via JPA Football).
“There are off-the-field questions Nabers has had to answer to during the draft process, and teams must feel comfortable with those answers if they’re going to invest an early draft pick and millions of dollars in his services,” Pauline said.

The report adds that he had to answer non-football-related questions during the interview process, adding that teams will have to feel comfortable with his answers before considering taking him.
This shouldn’t be an issue for as long as he holds himself accountable, puts in hard work, and helps his team win football games.
Of course, there could also be some red flags, and teams should keep an eye on everything, but it would have to take a lot to make a prospect like Nabers slip significantly in the draft.
Also, teams and fans will gladly deal with some antics if the player backs up the talk on the field with his production.
Whatever the case, it’s never about where you’re picked in the draft or who’s the highest-touted recruit.
It all comes down to what the players do with the opportunities they’re given.
