After their Week 1 loss to the Detroit Lions, many around the NFL wondered if the Kansas City Chiefs were in for a down year.
A “Super Bowl Hangover” can sometimes happen to teams.
This loss has now appeared to be a fluke, as the Chiefs have rattled off six straight wins en route to a 6-1 record.
They are now firmly in the playoff hunt and appear to be one of the AFC’s best teams.
Travis Kelce recently appeared on the “I Am Athlete” podcast, where he was asked about the rest of the season for the Chiefs, and how they stack up with their competition.
He responded, “We’re still finding ways to win with the new pieces, even adding a guy like Mecole Hardman.”

Kelce also voiced the “Any given Sunday” mentality, understanding that in the NFL, anything can happen on a given week.
He did not downplay the Chiefs’ upcoming competition and took time during this conversation to talk about his team’s constant need to improve.
Even as defending Super Bowl champs, the Chiefs can find ways to get better throughout the season.
They face a tough road moving forward, as their next three opponents will all provide unique challenges.
The Denver Broncos are a divisional opponent, and although the Chiefs have dismantled them during the Patrick Mahomes era, there is always a chance for a fluke game.
As for their next games against the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles, both of those teams are near the top of their respective conferences.
If the Chiefs can win all three of these games, they will find themselves in an even better position moving forward.
