After an impressive 2023 NFL season, the Miami Dolphins are a team on the rise in the league, with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa looking like a legitimate superstar and the team being absolutely stacked on the offensive side of the football.
Even though the Dolphins flamed out early in the NFL playoffs, losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the first round, Miami is expected to have another solid year in 2024 with a renewed sense of purpose and confidence.
Along with potentially having a bright future ahead as currently constructed, the Dolphins had to address some contract situations this offseason, with the team recently signing star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle to a lucrative long-term extension.
Following the announcement of Waddle’s much-deserved contract extension this week, it seems that superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill wants to secure his long-term future with the team.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Hill is trying to get a new contract with the team.
“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the effort to address Hill’s contract began after the 2023 season ended,” Florio said.
Tyreek Hill has been trying to get a new deal since the 2023 season ended. The recent A.J. Brown contract raised the stakes. The looming Justin Jefferson deal will give Hill a bar to try to match or beat. https://t.co/bw7re6XbgU

With Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings yet to ink an extension and A.J. Brown striking rich with the Philadelphia Eagles, it’ll be interesting to see what the Dolphins offer Hill.
There’s no question Hill will be worth every penny as he’s only gotten better and more consistent since being traded to the Dolphins, so there’s no doubt he’ll expect to be paid and paid well.
