The Philadelphia Phillies had to make a tough decision this offseason with one of their fan favorites.
That was first baseman Rhys Hoskins, whose time as a Phillie has come to an end.
Hoskins and the Phillies knew they were set to part ways this offseason.
That was after the Phillies announced that Bryce Harper would be their first baseman moving forward.
Hoskins found his new home with the Milwaukee Brewers.
He signed a two-year, $34 million contract.
It was a lucrative deal for a player who missed all of last season.
Hoskins tore his ACL last spring training but has made a full recovery.
The city of Philadelphia loved Hoskins ever since he was called up in 2017 and NBC Sports Philadelphia released a video looking back at Hoskins’ years as a Phillie.

The slugging first baseman helped lead the team to the World Series in 2022.
He hit 30 home runs and drove in 79 during the 2022 regular season.
But, his most memorable moment as a Phillie came in the 2022 playoffs.
Facing Atlanta Braves starter Spencer Strider in the NLDS, Hoskins launched a three-run home run followed by a bat spike.
That bat spike will forever be entrenched in the memory of Phillies fans.
Even though Hoskins was never able to bring a championship to Philadelphia, he was a successful player.
Now, he gets ready to start a new journey in Milwaukee with a team that needed a right-handed power bat.
Hoskins has always been a great power hitter and that should not change when playing for a new team.
