All signs point towards the Chicago Bears taking Caleb Williams with the No. 1 pick.
Needless to say, the USC product will be thrown into the fire right away, and expectations are as high as they’ve ever been for any quarterback taken first overall.
Nonetheless, that doesn’t mean Tyson Bagent is just going to sit back and relax as his backup.
He’s been working hard on his game during the offseason, as shown by Tony Racioppi on Twitter.

Bagent clearly has an impressive arm, although his chances of playing next season are slim, to say the least.
He was serviceable during his debut campaign last season, and the offense looked better with him than it did with Justin Fields at times.
The Chicago Bears have never started a rookie quarterback in Week 1, and we’re talking about franchise history.
But with Williams looking like a generational talent and a potential superstar in the making, that trend is most definitely coming to an end.
Not so long ago, it was hard to even think of a rookie quarterback getting the nod that early in his career, and teams usually had them holding a clipboard and learning from the sidelines for a year or two before even considering getting them on the field.
The game has changed, and patience is no longer something the fans or executives value anymore.
Even so, if anything fails or happens, it’s nice to know that his backup is looking to stay sharp and ready in case his number is called.
