The Pittsburgh Steelers will walk into the 2024 NFL season with two starting-caliber quarterbacks on their roster.
Not only did the Steelers push to sign Russell Wilson in free agency after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but they also went out and traded for former Chicago Bears signal-caller Justin Fields.
Wilson and Fields are expected to battle for the starting quarterback job, though the veteran has a leg up in the competition.
However, Fields could have his opportunities next season if Wilson either falters again or gets hurt.
In Chicago, Fields showed flashes of what he can do as a passer and runner and should have better infrastructure in Pittsburgh because the organization seems committed to giving him a shot.
As the offseason continues, Fields was recently seen getting some passing work in, via Steelers Depot.

In the video clip, Fields is seen taking a couple of throws from 65-plus yards out, showing off his arm talent.
During his time in college, Fields was consistently able to hit receivers downfield in stride, though that hasn’t completely translated to the professional level.
The young quarterback has delivered strong performances in spurts, but being able to replicate that on a weekly basis is the next step for him.
Although Wilson will likely get the first crack as the starter, head coach Mike Tomlin has not been afraid to shake things up if he feels like it will give him and the team the best chance to win.
