The Kansas City Chiefs entered the offseason with a few roster questions to answer.
Yes, they were coming off a Super Bowl victory, but even the champs needed to try and lock down a few key positions.
They weren’t able to retain L’Jarius Sneed, a massive loss to their defensive back room.
However, the team did reach a contract extension with Chris Jones, tying him to their defensive line for the foreseeable future.
The Chiefs also made a splash at wide receiver, signing Marquise Brown to a one-year contract.
Brown and Patrick Mahomes have already started working on their chemistry, as evidenced by a recent video shared by Brad Henson Productions.

This duo was seen working out together, as this clip highlights Mahomes throwing a deep ball to Brown.
If their offseason connection can translate to the regular season, the Chiefs could be in for another deep postseason run.
Mahomes was missing a true WR1 in the 2023 season, and while Travis Kelce was a great safety net, he needed more.
Brown should provide the type of veteran leadership that Mahomes is looking for, especially with Rashee Rice’s future with the team up in the air.
The Chiefs might have to sign someone else to replace Rice if it comes to that, but at this moment, the team can only control what they can control.
Keeping Mahomes and Brown together is definitely something they can control, and if they connect well in Year One, Brown could find himself as a member of this team for a long time.
