The Los Angeles Dodgers made the biggest signing in baseball history this offseason.
Everyone knew once Shohei Ohtani hit the open market, his contract would be lucrative.
But, seeing it finally completed is breathtaking.
Ohtani signed a 10-year, $700 million contract.
It is the largest deal in North American sports history.
Ohtani joining the Dodgers created what should be the best team in baseball.
We got our first look at Ohtani in his new uniform on Thursday.
As shared by FOX Sports: MLB, Ohtani will wear No. 17 for the Dodgers as seen in his opening press conference.

Ohtani goes from one LA team to the other.
He certainly hopes for more team success with the Dodgers.
The two-way star has yet to make the playoffs in his six-year career.
On paper, the Dodgers look like the best team in baseball.
One thing they have always done is dominate the regular season.
But, their lack of postseason success is a dark cloud over the organization.
The last time the Dodgers won a World Series was in 2020.
But, that was the shortened 60-game season.
They have not won a championship in a full season since 1988.
With some of the Dodgers’ moves this offseason, it is clear they are all-in.
Anything short of a World Series title will again be seen as a disappointment.
Ohtani will spend all of next season as the designated hitter.
He is unable to pitch due to elbow surgery he received in September.
Luckily, Ohtani is a great enough hitter, and he should be in for a career year in that lineup.
