With a 7-6 record, the Minnesota Vikings are in sixth place in the NFC, and they have managed to get to this point despite some key injuries.
Star wide receiver Justin Jefferson finally returned on Sunday after being sidelined for two months with a hamstring injury, and of course, starting quarterback Kirk Cousins went down with a torn Achilles back in October.
Backup QB Josh Dobbs has started four games since Cousins’ injury, but after the Vikings scored only three points in Sunday’s win over the Las Vegas Raiders, he will be headed to the bench this Sunday versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
Per Ian Rapoport, Nick Mullens will be starting under center in Week 15.
A QB change for the #Vikings: Nick Mullens is set to start against the #Bengals, with Josh Dobbs heading to the bench, per me and @TomPelissero.

Mullens, who has played in just one game this year, will be starting his first game since 2021 when he was a member of the Cleveland Browns.
He came into the NFL in 2017 as a member of the San Francisco 49ers after going undrafted out of the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mullens started eight games both in 2018 and 2020 when starter Jimmy Garoppolo was unable to play due to multiple injuries.
One reason Minnesota has been winning games is because of the play of rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison, who has collected 713 yards and seven touchdowns, while tight end T.J. Hockenson has helped out with 839 yards and five touchdowns.
After playing Cincinnati, Minnesota will face the 9-4 Detroit Lions in two of their three final regular-season contests, giving them a stiff test they will have to pass in order to reach the postseason.
