The Minnesota Vikings entered the offseason with several unknowns hanging over their head.
The most significant question mark was Kirk Cousins’ status, as he was a free agent.
Cousins ultimately signed with the Atlanta Falcons, leaving the Vikings without a viable starter.
They ended up drafting J.J. McCarthy in the first round, a move that has been received well by the fanbase.
Now that Cousins has taken his talents elsewhere, it’s only fitting that the Vikings and Falcons will play each other in 2024.
T.J. Hockenson recently talked about facing off against his former QB in an article shared by Around The NFL.
“It’s gonna be, obviously a challenge to go against him. But, we’re in purple now and he’s going to be on the other side, so we’ll treat him as so,” Hockenson said.

It might be a strange feeling to try and beat someone that Hockenson considered a friend and a great teammate, but that’s the business of the NFL.
Sometimes, you have to do things you’re uncomfortable with, and at the end of the day, teams have to put their best foot forward to win as many games as possible.
It will be interesting to see how both teams fare this season.
Many people say the Falcons are a solid quarterback away from having a monster year, and if Cousins can be that for the organization, there’s no telling what their ceiling might be.
McCarthy is an unknown entity, so it remains to be seen how he’ll perform in this offense.
