On Friday, Hezbollah launched a major escalation, targeting Israel’s “Stella Maris” naval base near Haifa with a missile barrage—the second such strike in 24 hours. Hezbollah claimed the attacks were a direct response to “massacres” allegedly committed by Israel. In addition to the naval base, missiles also targeted the Ramat David airbase and the northern settlement of Kiryat Shmona, intensifying the already volatile situation along the Lebanon-Israel border.
Israeli forces responded with strikes across southern Lebanon, affecting multiple towns and reportedly resulting in three fatalities, including a paramedic. The region is bracing for further escalation as cross-border tensions continue to flare.
