The Chicago White Sox are quite probably the worst team in MLB right now.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t reasons to watch and follow them, though.
They still employ the exciting Luis Robert Jr., they have a really solid 1-2 punch in Garrett Crochet and Erick Fedde, and they have a couple of really interesting prospects despite their farm system not being so good.
One of those prospects worth watching is definitely Drew Thorpe.
Fans will get to enjoy his first MLB start on Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners, as he is set to make his debut.
“Drew Thorpe, the reigning MLB Pipeline Pitching Prospect of the Year, makes his big league debut tonight,” MLB Pipeline tweeted, with some of his stats and scouting grades.

Scouts love Thorpe’s changeup and give it a 70 in the 20-80 scouting scale.
The 22-year-old right-hander is MLB Pipeline’s 54th overall prospect and the third best in the White Sox system.
He came to Chicago in the Dylan Cease trade with the San Diego Padres, and had gotten to San Diego in the Juan Soto trade with the New York Yankees.
He has been with three organizations in the last few months, but that’s because every rebuilding team would love to have him.
Chicago placed him in Double-A, where he has a 1.35 ERA in 60 innings.
He has been ready for Triple-A for a while, but the White Sox are bringing him up to face the Mariners in Seattle.
Whether he sticks around after Tuesday remains to be seen, but Thorpe, who is a former second-round pick, has what it takes to consistently contribute on the White Sox’s staff right now.
