The New York Yankees had a disappointing 2023 season.
Every year, the Yankees enter the season with World Series expectations.
But, they fell way short of their goal last year.
New York failed to reach the playoffs and finished with an 82-80 record.
One reason for their struggles was the health of Aaron Judge.
The Yankees outfielder only played 106 games.
He missed a good portion of the season due to a torn ligament in his big toe.
Luckily, it appears that the injury is behind him.
According to Bryan Hoch, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said it is “a resolved issue” and: “We think it’s behind him.”

Judge staying healthy will be key to the Yankees’ success.
They have relied on him heavily over the past few seasons.
At least this season the Yankees will have another superstar in their lineup.
The Yankees recently agreed to a trade that will send them Juan Soto.
There are not many hitters in baseball better than Soto and he will take some of the pressure off Judge.
If this team can stay healthy, the Yankees will have a good shot at making the World Series.
The addition of Soto looks like the first of many moves for the Yankees this offseason.
It would not be a surprise to see them go after some pitching next.
Losing does not sit well in New York and that is why changes needed to be made.
Anything short of a World Series championship next year will be a disappointment for the Yankees.
