Baltimore Ravens rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers did not have a good game against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
While he caught a long touchdown pass and was the Ravens’ leading receiver, Flowers made two very poor decisions near the end zone that cost the Ravens chances to draw within one score of the Chiefs in the fourth quarter.
He was called for taunting on a long pass in the red zone that put the Ravens out of immediate field goal range, and then fumbled the ball away at the goal line.
Flowers then injured his hand on the sideline following the play after he reportedly punched a bench.
But the young pass-catcher doesn’t sound deterred by his mistakes, as The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec reported that Flowers told reporters that he wouldn’t let the game “break him.”
Zay Flowers said he won’t let yesterday’s game break him. Maintained he’s already turned the page. Called it the funnest year he’s had in his life.

Flowers proved to be the Ravens’ most effective offensive weapon in 2023 as a quality pass-catcher and playmaker.
He was featured early and often throughout the AFC title game and was one of the biggest bright spots on an offense that floundered at times.
But his two egregious errors in the fourth quarter cost the Ravens at least three points and – inevitably – a shot at the Super Bowl.
He is still young, though, and has a lot of time to learn from his mistakes as his career progresses.
Recognizing that is the first step for Flowers, too, as he’ll have a full offseason to fully immerse himself in the NFL world.
