The Seattle Seahawks will have their most important player on the field on Thanksgiving, after all.
According to HC Pete Carroll, QB Geno Smith will partake in the crucial NFC West matchup, even though they’re most likely going to be without star RB Kenneth Walker III.
Carroll was quite optimistic in terms of Smith’s recovery from his triceps injury, stating that he had done quite well in practice after getting some rest earlier in the week.
The coach also made it loud and clear that Smith wouldn’t have to undergo any sort of testing or routine before hitting the field on Thursday night, all but guaranteeing that he’s going to play without limitations (via Around The NFL).

Needless to say, this game will have some huge postseason implications, as the Seahawks could take down the Niners for the top of the division.
A loss, on the other hand, would send them two games behind them, which would be something they might not be able to overcome at this point in the season.
Smith didn’t sound as optimistic about his availability for this game earlier in the week, so this is a major break for the team.
Walker, on the other hand, suffered an oblique strain last week during the Los Angeles Rams game, and he’s expected to be replaced by rookie second-round pick Zach Charbonnet for this matchup.
The Seahawks are ahead of schedule in their rebuild and are a legitimate threat to take the division home, and tonight’s clash will be a must-watch matchup.
