After superstar quarterback Tom Brady left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and immediately went on to win his seventh Super Bowl title, there has been a heated debate about whether Brady was the main reason for all the success in New England over head coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick has been given the benefit of the doubt quite a bit over the years, but it seems as though things are starting to tilt in Brady’s direction now that he has officially retired, and Belichick has begun to struggle year after year without the legendary quarterback under center.
In Week 5, things got worse for Belichick and company, with the Patriots losing to the New Orleans Saints in spectacular fashion, as New England failed to score a point while giving up 34 to a mediocre Saints squad.
In the aftermath of the team’s fourth loss of the season, Skip Bayless of FOX Sports headed to social media to take aim at Belichick, claiming that Brady made the future Hall of Fame head coach.
“As I’ve said for many years, Brady MADE Belichick. Now Robert Kraft is going to have to make a big decision about Belichick.” Bayless said.

Although this may have been a statement that was a little too bold for Bayless, he’s not wrong about Patriots longtime owner Robert Kraft having to make a decision on what he wants to do with Belichick moving forward.
New England has shown no progress this season, and it seems to only be getting worse as the season continues, which means at some point, Kraft will have to address Belichick’s job status.
At this point, there is no telling whether Kraft will give Belichick more time to figure things out or if he wants to head in another direction sooner rather than later.
